Hey there! I made a layout for Juno, and didn't know where to post on the blog (I don't see a Mr. Linky or the contact info posted on the sidebar of the blog?), so I decided to just e-mail you my attempt. I'm not sure if you will count this as Juno inspired, but I did do a handmade title (journaling strips in my handwriting) and used stripes on the house paper pieces. Thanks!

Libeeti - My Treasure

Hi Shazza!

Here is my lo for August challenge. I've made this lo about 4 month ago, and I hope it's okay to submit it to the challenge.

The photo is of my eldest, 4 days after he was born.

I dressed him up to get home from the hospital, and it's me & my mom holding him.

The title says in hebrew: "My Treasure", and I've made it out of used cereal box (my fav recycled product to work with... LOL), with acrylic paint. It took my long time to cut it out carefully...

And I used dp with stripes.

So I think I've covered all criteria, right?

You can submit older layouts, thats fine as long as they take the inspiration from the movie and you use most of the added criteria :) The blue flowers look fab and love how you also scallopped your buttons, great idea! - Shazza

Please find attached my LO for Screen2Scrap this month,
with the inspiration being the movie poster for Juno.
I enjoyed working on this one, as I scrapped a piccie
of myself & my little bebe son playing our little game
in the mirror. My son is now 30!!  But it is a good
quality photo, & a lot of photos of that era' were not
great quality.
I have used pp that has stripes of sorts on it, plus
cut paper & cardstock to resemble stripes, lots of
distressing too, handcut my title...now that
was interesting! Plus journalled in 'stripes' too.

New Baby Brother - I cut the title out of MDF using my scroll saw, painted it and lightly covered it with Kindy glitz.

Hi Shazza,

Here is my layout for this month's challenge based on the "Juno" movie poster. I was inspired by the whole graphic design aspect of the poster and used it like a sketch. Loved how it turned out. I used butterflies in place of the actors' names, and as you can see, I followed the poster pretty closely. :D I also included the extra criteria 1. Use a handmade title (I hand drew and cut this out - what a great technique - should do this way more often!!!), 2. Use stripes - I don't think I need to point out where they are... lol, 3. Scrap a pregnancy or new baby photo - I finally have scrapped these photos which are now over 7 years old of me holding my first daughter, Lucy. These photos have really come to life now and I love this page. Great challenge, Shazza! Thanks! :D

Chantel, I just love your work, everytime you send in an entry it has a bright and happy feel to it. I love what you have done here with your use of brights!! Well... I have procrastinated long enough.
I decided to scrap ALL the preggers pictures and get it over with.
If you look *real* close in the pictures, particularly Robert's,
I'm sure you can see orbiting satellites around my belly.
*sigh*

I covered the criteria:
1. Handmade Title: Check! PINK is hand cut, glimmer misted then inked.

I'm Erika Martin and I live in Ferrisburg, VT, which is close to the Canadian border and right along Lake Champlain. I've been married to David for 12 years and have two children, Zach (10) and Elise (9). I'm a work-from-home mom as a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, but also as a design team member for GinaK Designs, a reporter for Craft Critique and the Education Director for Paper Craft Planet. I love to teach and share my enthusiasm for paper crafts and all sorts of other crafting mediums through in-home classes, in my studio and also through online classes.

I've been rubber stamping for 8 1/2 years and scrapbooking for 12 1/2 years. Over the years, my art has taken on many different forms and has gone through many different phases and transformations. I've done display boards for a local craft store, worked there as a teacher and have been teaching my own classes for the last 8 years. I teach courses at an art school in southern Vermont during the summer, fall and winter seasons, as well as occasionaly teach Altered Books as an integrated art which creates a hands-on approach to traditional subjects in Vermont high schools and elementary schools. I have also appeared on quite a few craft segments for a local cable station.

One of my passions is creating commissioned work for people that enjoy what I do.

And, of course, I continue to work on my own personal scrapbooks, altered art, stamping and papercrafts.

Tracy - Sarah as a Newborn

Hi Shazza

Had some fun with glimmer mist and using a doily as a mask on the pp and testing out crepe paper on the banner then chuck in some charms, bling and ribbon and here is my submission for a August with a new born baby photo and a handmade title (using cuttlebug letters as a template then applying Liquid Pearls). I didn't get the stripes but in a way (go cross eyed LOL) the Teresa Collins pattern paper is stripes (hey a girls gotta try LOL)!

I am really happy with this layout because I actually did some journalling! naughty me always missing that part out!

Here's my layout for August-Juno.Baby Piper is only about a month old.I used pastel striped backgrpound papers and lace, but then added bright pink title letters and striped ribbon and buttons.I thought the round buttons match the dots on the branches.The yellow cord is the only thing I had fine enough to thread through the lettering banner.

This has come up a treat Julene! I love the pastel striped pp you used, it just fits perfectly. Love the banner you made too. !! What a lovely photo of baby Piper! - cheers Shazza

Well the Juno poster was very interesting for inspiration.

I decided to go with softer colour tones to match my photos.

The year was 1985 and I was expecting twins, these photo were

taken when I was 37 weeks, my babies arrived 3 weeks early.

Here's my layout inspired by the Juno movie poster. I just love this movie! I took inspiration from the poster by scrapping a pregnancy photo of myself at about this time last year - and now my little girl is 8 months old already, how time flies! I also took inspiration from the stripes all across the background, and I've hand-drawn my title. Certainly you can see my banner obsession in full throttle on this layout!
