this is my take for this months challenge. this is Jylian again when she was only 3 mos old. i love how she glows in this photo and i can't believe she's almost two already. why do they grow up so fast? i made the hat myself, i used BasicGrey Kioshi light blue alpha stickers, and i have shades of pink. hope you like it. thaank you for the inspiration again. i can't wait for next month's challenge already LOL! Here is my paper take on the October challenge - you have to love My Fair Lady - such a classic movie. I enjoyed playing around with the pink (and black) concept and was thrilled when I found a gorgeous vintage photo of my Mother resplendent in Sunday best - complete with hat - which fitted wonderfully with the poster theme.

Lena Schreijenberg - You Look Kinda Royal

Hi Shazza,

Hereby my entry for the October challenge.

I used a photo of my kids when they were little. They loved to dress up and for "Queensday" I made them a king and queen costume.

Carmen's crown was bought but the veil was added by me. On the other hand, Liam's crown is totally handmade by me so that covers point 3 of the challenge I guess...

Out of a piece of cardboard I've cut out the word "ROYAL". I used these cut outs as stamps. Those stamps aren't perfect but I love them this way!

For the royal touch I chose this chandelier background paper and added lots of blings.

The border is made out of blue glitterglue and pink ink with white puffy paint dots in it.

Hi Shazza,

Please see the attached layout for the November Challenge. I took inspiration from the colors (pink and blue) and from the theme of a lady and a gentelman, only my lady (myself) is a little older than the gentelman (my eldest)... :)

I think I've covered the extra criteria: shades of pink - done; blue title - done; handmade hat (the crwon is sort of a hat, isn't it?).

Irit Shalom - So Pretty @ 21

Hi again Shazza!! My page for October challenge- I was mostly inspired from the " I am pretty,so pretty" song from this musical - so my title is So pretty with a subtitle AT 21

I decided to to use only 2 colors- pink as asked and blue- kind of turquise, but still blue- as asked for the title

The hat on the corner is hand made - also not by me, but in some indian village in S. America, but was so pretty on this page with my garden blooming girls

Decided to try From Screen 2 Scrap this month. Crazy here getting ready for a Craft Fair and so between work, kids and crafts, I barely have time for any of my own scrapping - so love that your blog is there to inspire! Lots of pink, blue title, 'Your Fair Auntie'- and of course, the crazy hat I gave her:)

This is my sister - who is obviously ADORED by my two little boys. Now, as you can see, she is not exactly acting 'ladylike' in these pictures (there were others with far worse behavior - hahah!), so thought it was perfect for this one. My notes to my boys (hidden behind the journaling tag, is all about how much they love their Auntie. Fun!

Hi Shazza,

What a great challenge this month was Shaz! Beautiful older movie poster, & a great fave of mine. I just love the glorious old movies...the costuming is often so very special.

This is a picture of my dear daughter, wearing a fascinator that I recently made for her day at the races!! Perfect for this challenge, & it worked out perfect for her too. I was amazed at the cost of these little bits of gloriousness at the shops, so I decided to have a go at making one....& it was a load of fun & turned out very well...if I say so myself! Especially as I am not really a sewing person, but gradually teaching myself what to do.

I have followed the criteria & used shades of pink though my page, a darker blue title & a little 'fascinating' hat embellishment as well.

Thank you for yet another wonderful challenge.

Thanks for this wonderful challenge this month.

I really love this film poster , it's such beauty (for me impossible to do the same), so it took your 3 criteria and got to work with it.

This is the result, actually I'm proud of it, but that's because of the beautiful photos of my youngest daughter Yana, the photos were taken on her mardigras party in school this year.

She wanted to be a real cowgirl, for me she looks more like the next top model, but which mother doesn't think that of her daughter.

Anyway I hope you'll like my LO.

When my daughter was little she insisted on everything being pink.She used to say "pink 's my favourite colour" at least 20 times a day. It is one of those phrases that we still laugh about.This bright Barbie pink was her most favourite.The a2z scraplets bird in the left hand corner is wearing the hat.I made the 3 flowers by gathering chiffon ribbon,cutting out dress patterns and sewing on a bead and arranging velvet petals into a rose. Hi Shazza,

The photo is of my Nan's sister and her bridesmaids. My Nan is the one of the left. They all look very beautiful and I wanted to make a pretty layout for the photo. I've included all the criteria and also used the title of My Fair Lady as inspiration for my title. My Nan's sister and their Mum made all the dresses, hats and flower pendants. The dresses were a light pink. I love the outfits and their massive bouquets are just gorgeous.

My name is Dale, I'm 42 years old and I'm a scrapbooker. I love scrapbooking very much and have completed over 40 albums since 2003. I live in Western Australia and am married to Paul and we have 2 beautiful boys, Damon (13) and Mark (10).

I'm getting in early here... here is my take on this month's challenge inspired by the "My Fair Lady" poster. I have been inspired by Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison's head shots and chose a photo to suit. I also have been inspired by the opulent feel to the poster and also the colourings. The added criteria is all there too - 1. Shades of Pink, 2. Blue Title & 3. Handmade Hat (top right)! Loved this challenge - and I enjoyed making the hat! :D

Natalie Elphinstone - Zippity Do Dah

Here's my DT example using the poster from My Fair Lady as my inspiration.

As you can see, it was easy for me to incorporate lots of pink, and a blue title (alhthough I had to make them myself by inking up my white foam Thickers with some blue colouring). I couldn't quite get to the handmade hat - but you should check out what all the other clever crafty DT girls have come up with.

I added my flowers and some big flowing ribbons inspired by the poster. I really wanted to use some black and white ribbon - just like Audrey Hepburn's scarf, but I didn't have any in my stash so I compromised and used both a black and a white one for a similar effect :-)

Another crazy story captured on this layout. The journalling reads something along the lines of...
Once Moodles has gone down for her morning nap I usually take that opportunity to have my shower, although leaving Munchy to her own devises can be a bit of a gamble! On this morning I emerged from my shower to find she had taken the cover off the ducted heating vent, and her head stuck down it with a torch in her hand. And at the top of her lungs she is singing "Zippity Do Dah, Zippity Ay, My oh My What a Wonderful Day". When I asked her what she was doing she replied "I'm checking the vents for treasure. When I grow up I want to be a vent-checker".
