WOW! Another fantastic entry to share, this time from another newbie :)

Irit Shalom - Roni (Top Model) @ 17

Shazza hello!!
Finally I did my page for this month challenge
So here it is:2 photos, the dark colors as on the ad, 2 colors for the title and a paper plane. It was done as a kid's paper plane as my so called Top model is not a model at all- everything is a play, so the jet is a false one too
Hope you like my take
Irit Shalom

Gorgeous layout Irit. Stunning photos of Roni :) love the added false paper plane in the corner :) Your flowers, doillies and bling are just the perfect additions. Well done - Cheers Shazza

Look at this everyone....another great page from .....

Tiffany Fibbert - Big Adventures

Hi Shazza! I guess I’m just a big sucker for a challenge, as even with ten thousand things calling my name I still had to finish this one. I decided that I would just have some fun with it, and since I had already cut out these cute little pictures of my son and one of his little friends I went with it. I created her a little suitcase as it seemed she was on the move. Wyatt, with the ball above his head was of course taking on the world (and I had fun adding the skateboard beneath his feet – LOL). Lastly they were in front of a cupboard, but I figured a window with a tree swing was so much more exciting! Hope you like it! I believe I’ve hit all the DIVA points – cut out little cuties, multi-colored title, and aeroplanes…. Thanks again! Tiffany

Hi Tiffany! Its nice to know that I'm not the only one that is a sucker for challenges :) I tend to take to much onboard at the best of times. Well I'm glad you did decide to join in as you have done an awesome job of the challenge. the page is beautiful, from the color scheme to the huge plane on your page. And how cute are the photos you used of the kids in diapers....just adorable! All criteria covered, a great entry this month! Cheers Shazza

Here is another one today from ......

Vicky Hyninck - Into the clouds

Hey Shazza,
I’m back, this time with an LO where I’m very proud about it took me a long time to find the right combiniation in colors and I had to start again, but it was worth every step of it.
The picture realy show how much I’m in love with my hubby.
The cutting of the flowes took some time to, but it just had to be in the LO.
I think I covered every item:
2 collored title (white and light blue)
The plane
The cut out figures
Hoping you’ll like this one to.
greetzzzz
Vickske

Hi Vicky! A great take on the challenge. The photo of you and your hubby is just perfect for this challenge. Love the colors you used and the title is the best! You have covered all criteria and done such a great job! You should be proud of this page, its turned out a treat! :) Cheers Shazza

Celina Matthews - Welcome Home Soldiers

Hi, Shazza!
Here is a page for the November inspiration! I used two colors in the title; brown and black, more than two photos, and airplanes in the background paper. I have never seen Casablanca but this challenge has sure inspired me to do so. I'm curious about all the good things people say about that movie. The photos here are of my husband's unit coming home from Iraq and one photo is of my son greeting his dad. Thanks for looking.
~Celina

Hi Shazza,
Do you know I have never watch Casablanca from start to finish - have attempted it several times but either fell asleep or was interrupted in one way or another. You have inspired me to not only submit a challenge entry for this month but to find time to actually watch the movie.
Thanks so much,
Jane

Hi Jane! What a great entry this month with all criteria covered... I would never have thought to use an amusement park ride and associate with the word 'Fly" (Very clever) love all your little added elements too.......even you spotted plane :) Well done!! - Shazza

Another entry today from.....

Libeeti - As Time Goes By

Hello dear Shazza,
I was so happy with November's movie poster inspiration! Casablanca is my no. 1 favorite movie of all times. I've seen the movie over and over again, and I'm ready to watch it many times again :).
The romantic scenes, the love beyound time, and the unforgatable lines - oh, it's the best!
So naturally I was inspired by all this and I took one of my parents' wedding photo and made this vintage layout.
I think I covered all criteria: two figures cut from a photo - check; two colours in the title - check; an aeroplane somewhere on the lo - check (the chipboard on the envelope).
Thank you so much for this great inspiration. I just love to come over each month and play along with your challenges.
Cheers,
Libeeti

Hi Libeeti!
Whay a lovely entry you submited this month. I love the pp you used and all the added flowers just make it look so special. What a great idea to scrap a wedding photo of your Mum and Dad, especially as the movie is all about love and romance. I love the title you used and the two clocks that you added to symbolise time...... the love clock is especially gorgeous! Thanks for joining in and well done this month - Cheers Shazza

Thursday, November 11, 2010

We have a great entry today from .....

Julene Matthews - Out of the Blue

Hello Shazza, Here's my entry for the challenge this month.I've included a whole row of planes plus 4 different styles of lettering in the title. The 2 figures ae my friends from Greece. Thena and I hadn't seen each other since 1976, then 2 years ago they flew to Sydney to surprise me.It was a wonderful re-union.The background paper featured Europe, so I put a brad in Greece with an arrow to their photo.Hope you like it! Julene Matthews

Great entry Julene!....Love all your planes and I especially like the banner across the top of your page. Great idea using the European map as your background too. All criteria covered, so a great effort! Well done! Cheers Shazza

Jen Fawkes - Here's Looking at you Kid

Hi Shazza, here is my November entry.

Look at this great entry from.......

Melissa O'Neill - Its a Big World Hey Mum

Hi Shazza, hope this finds you well, this is my layout for FS2S this month, these are some photos of Nate looking through the glass sides of the new bridge that openned here, this is probably the highest he has ever been and he said the "world is so big" things he says are just super cute. I hope you like it, I added a plane, 2 photos and at least 2 colours in the title. Love Melxx

Hey Mel! This really is an fabulous entry, I love the title and all the little world maps along the bottom (Clever idea!) The 'pilot saluting' embellie is just perfect. Photos of Nate looking out into that 'Big World'...fantastic! You have all the added criteria..Well done!! Cheers Shazza

We have another cool layout from....

Sarah Cooper -No Planes, Trains or Automobiles. Just Nature and the Great Outdoors

I couldn't sleep so I worked on the FS2S LO.
The Blog post is here:
http://keepsakescrafts.blogspot.com/2010/11/from-screen-2-scrap-fs2s-november.html
Picture is also attached.

I pulled some of my inspiration from the colors in the poster:
beige/browns, black, hints of green & blue.
I used 2 photos one of Greg (my *new* husband) and myself,
taken last year on a nature hike through the nearby Gatineau Hills.
It's always lovely in the fall there... so remote and QUIET.
Background paper is Websters Pages.
Journal Card is Tattered Angels and it's misted.
Lots of felt and colored paper leaves.
My favorite part of the page is the wee little manila envelope of collected leaves.
I even wrote the date on it!
I think I got the 2 colors in the title covered... and then some!
...and of course, the airplane.

No Planes, Trains or Automobiles
Just Beloved Nature & The Great Outdoors
Fall 2009
Nature Walk in the Gatineau Hills.
Aprox. an hours drive from home.
Found a beautiful Look-Out Point.
You could see the rolling hills Forever.

*yawning*
Thanks so much,
Sarah

What a great entry Sarah, I just love your title!! You always come up with something different and interesting for your titles :) What lovely serene photos, the nature walk in the hills sounds divine. The scattered leave on the page look beautiful, and love the tiny emvelope with some of your leaf collection. Fabulous work! Cheers Shazza

Lynnda Hosni - 1st Day in Prep

Hello there!
I was intrigue by MEL O'Neill (she is the one who encourage me!) ...
I did this layout for another challenge... but what a coincidence ...some of the criteria match... so I decided to play along....
Here is my take...
Thank you so much for the chance..Please feel free to visit my humble little blog...

http://lybeauartyscrappy.blogspot.com/

P/S: I hope this layout qualified...
Thanks again...

Lynnda Hosni.

WOW! Another fantastic entry to share, this time from another newbie :)

Lena Schreijenberg - FLY!

Hi Shazza!
I started this one with a plain yellow cardstock page. I misted the planes with glimmermist and added the blue circles (cut out of magazine paper).
The pictures are from a carnival in a nearby town several years ago. The kids are my son Liam and daughter Carmen with in the middle their nephew Lars.
They are not really on a plane ofcourse but they sure are "flying"!!!
The title is made with blue chipboard letters and because it had to be in two colors I added white dots with puffy paint.
XOXO, Lena

Wow! Lena! A fantastic interpretation of the challenge....how cool are those planes!! The colors are gorgeous together, I love the photos you used from the carnival and the use of your 'puffy paint'. A great arty piece. Great work! - Cheers Shazza

Here is a stunning entry today from........

Deb Clark - Through the Eye of a Lens

Hi Shazz,

Here is my LO inspired by the movie poster of the great
movie Casablanca! A
wonderful inspiration...I loved the
colours & the shapes & also the look of
love too. Used
all those things in my page.

I have used a photo taken of my Pete & I at a local
photography
exhibiition...so we were photographed
looking at photographs...thus the
title! I have cut
out a photo of us, & layered it over the large

photo...it is hard to see in the piccie though. I have
used 3 alphas in the
title, not 2...oops, & also added
a little print of a plane in the cluster
at the bottom
right. My lovely flowers & lace & string, were all
purchased
from Tattered Inspirations.

Thank you for yet another fabulous challenge this
month...we are so very
lucky to have this blog site!

Cheers, Deb xx

http://debisjoy.blogspot.com/

Hey Deb, An absolutely brilliant take on the challenge!
Just love the
photo you used and can tell that you have
layered a cut out over the top of
the photo as you can
see shadowing :) Great added flower embellies and
gorgeous lace :)
The Flourish in the Left hand corner
of the photo is just so Yummy! Love your entry great
work and well done!

Cheers Shazza

We have our first entry for the month and its from a newbie.....

Karen Williams - Fancy a big KISS

Hi Shazza
I'm claiming all six extra points!
This wasn't what I had in mind when I started thinking about this page, I really wanted something that refelected the colours of the poster but I ended up with a bright and silly LO. Still there are cutouts, a plane and a two colour title so I think i'm ok.
Thanks for looking
Karen

Hi Karen, Your page is so fun! I love that it turned out 'bright and silly' you have captured the mood of the poster with that big kiss! Cute little added trees :) I think you can definately claim all six points for this great entry...
Well done!! - Cheers Shazza

Lisa Webb

I am a very happy and relaxed married Mum of two. We own a camera shop and I work about 25 hrs a week.

It has become such a massive passion in my life. I live and breath it. I love lots on my page but not busy. I am a neat scrapper, I like my pages to be balanced, I am driven by dimension, I love bling, I can versify from bright and fun to vinatage and sepia. I love the look of vintage with a touch of shabby chic. My 19 yr old girl and 7 yr old boy are my total inspiration.
