Woohoo!! Made it in time this month.........lol

Peggy Schenkels - A Day at The Beach

Hi Shazza,
I made the deadline this time, woohoo!!
I've attached my LO for this month's challenge. I managed to do 2 out of the 3 criteria. I used the colour teal, and the flower at bottom left is attached with metal. However, I couldn't get that blocked title to work ... Still, I hope you like it.
Thanks for another wonderful challenge Shazz.
See you next month!
Xxx Peggy

Hey Peggy! So glad you joined in this month and made the deadline Woohoo!!! lol
A beautiful page you've really made your beach scene come alive.
It's very much like a collage... and I love the way you did your title on the sides of the page :)
Mmmmmmm................Might have to scraplift this! (you know me, I will give you all the credit!)
Great work - Cheers shazza

Another great layout from.............

Melinda Johns - Alexis and Dorothy the Dinosaur

Hi,
I finally got time to get one finished and uploaded in time.
I used all green, my title is in a rectangle and I have
metal brads as
the flower centers.

Regards Melinda

Hi Melinda, glad you could join in this month. What a
gorgeous photo
of Alexis holding her Dorothy. You
have done an excellent job of the
criteria, I
especially like your title in the rectangle with the
dinosaur
embellie. And your sprays of flowers are
gorgeous Well done!! - Shazza

Yes!! its another newbie with a fantastic entry.........

Celina Matthews - Welcome Home

Hello,

I am new here at From Screen to Scraps! I started visiting when I saw the Alice in Wonderland poster last month but wasn’t able to participate. I loved the movie, Sherlock Holmes, so I really wanted to try this challenge. I used the blocks in the movie poster as a start off point and made teal and grey blocks from cardstock. I inked the edges in more teal and grey with Distress Inks. The title is in two separate blocks. I used lots of metal embellishments from Tim Holtz and some jewelry charms I had in my stash. This was so much fun that I will make sure to be back each month for a new challenge!

Thank you, Celina Matthews

Hi Celina, Thankyou for joining in this months challenge, and what a great take on the poster inspiration. I love the photo of your husband and son reunited after your husbands second tour in Iraq (see I've already had a sneak peek of your blog!) You have done a fab job of the criteria, a great result :) and we wouls love to see you back again next month too. Cheers Shazza

We havean entry from another newbie.......

Vicky Heyninck - My (Crazy) Family

Hey shazza,
My name is Vicky, I'm mother from 2 children and married to a lovely man.
This is my first time I enter a challenge.
I'm only scrapping since 3 months, so I'am not so secure about my work.
I really hope you like it anyway.
I tried to do the extra's as good as I could, the green colours, the metal pins en the title in the block.
Thanks for inspiring me.
Kind regards. Vicky

Hi Vicky, Glad you joined in this month, you did areaaly great job of the movie poster with your take. Setting it up in blocks just like the poster and doing your title in a block. Its looks like a collage, I bet your happy with the way it turned out! You have covered all the criteria too, excellent! Job well done!! - Shazza

Look at this everyone....another great page from a newbie!!

Natalie King - You Go Girl

HI Shazza, Im a newbie Natallie KING and decided to give this months criteria a go. I have used a metal frame around the photo, the colour teal and a block title. The title was from a printed saying on vellum and I machine sewed onto a piece of teal coloured ribbon. Thanks Natalie

Thanks for joining in this month Natalie, you've done a great job of the challenge! Covered all the criteria which is good. The pink colors against the teal looks fab! The rub-ons really stand out and love the circle accents you picked for this page. Well done!! - Shazza

Yes!! its another newbie with a fantastic entry.........

Karen Baker - Just Me and My Boys

"They both idolize their Papa, but a few times during the week their Mama piques their curiosity. It could be when she is making chocolate chip cookies, or trying to clean with all the fun tools... Their Mama will take the time when she gets it, knowing all too soon that they will begin to get stingy with their time, with their affection. I so much cherish the time with just me and my boys. I know it is not grammatically correct, but it just sounds funny to say My Boys and I...I took inspiration from the general layout of the poster as well as the colors. I also added some metal sticker embelllishments, my title is in a block and there is a touch of teal! I've been meaning to make a card based off the poster too, but alas, I ran out of time!

Thanks for the inspiration, I hope to participate again next month! - Karen

Well done Karen, what a fantastic entry for this months challenge. Love the photos you chose to showcase, it looks like you're all having a great time. You have done a great job by covering all the criteria. a great page, well done!! - Shazza

Here's a great layout from another newbie.....

Shelee Lark - One of a kind Holly

Hi Shazza,

Here is my entry for the Sherlock Holmes challenge. I have
tried to meet all the criteria by using various shades of
teal, I have two metal embellishments (the flower and
dragonfly) but I put the photo in a rectangle instead of
the title. Hope that was OK.

I was inspired by the rectangles going down each side of
the poster and had a little experiment of cutting the PP
into windows to reveal the teal colour underneath!

Cheers!
Shelee :)

What a great entry Shelee, I bet your pleased with your
end result. I love the little windows that open up
revealing the teal color underneath. This page is very
eye catching and I love your black and white photo of
Holly. Well done! - Shazza

We have a great entry today from a Newbie.........

Peg Hewitt - Bubble Fun

Hey Shazza
I managed a lo for this challenge too this month, the metal
is in the eyelet brads (which I then filled with Kaiser
bling coz they looked a little plain :-)
Thanks for the push.
Peg

Thanks for joining the challenge this month Peg. What a
great 'stand out' page, its turned out a treat! Love the
cut out photo you used of Ruby.....Kids they get into
everything of mums!!! you have covered all the criteria :)
Great work - Shazza

Here's a beautiful entry from another newbie....

Libeeti - 'Up!'

H Shazza,
Here is my take on July challenge - Sherlok Holmes poster inspiration.
The photos are of my brother lifting up my eldest, and they were taken about 5 years ago.
I took inspiration from the poster of two men, one is younger, the other one is older.
I think I've covered all creteria: metal - the starfish on the tag (and also the eyelet of the tag itself), coloer teal, title in block/rectangle.
Thanks again for a very inspiring challenge,
Take care,
Libeeti

Thanks for joining in this month Libeeti. Looks like you have used some paint on your page, and added the corrugated cardboard for some texture. You have covered all the criteria, that is great! Nice photos of your brother and your eldest child. Clouds look great too are they sewn on?
Well done!! - Shazza

Sherlock Holmes according to a ......newbie!!

Nicole Goodwin - Tiny Dancer
(aka Captain Nick Sparrow)

Hi Shazza!
I liked the blockiness of the movie poster so I arranged my pictures in an orderly manner. I've got some metal going on in the safety pins, I put half my title in a block, and I have tiny bits of green dots and green leaves in the layout but it's hard to tell from the photo.
I can't wait to see the movie! I love Robert Downey, Jr.!
This is a fun blog so I hope to join you again in coming months!
XOXO
nicole

Hey Nicole, Thanks for joining in this months challenge..........we would love to see you again in the up and coming months :) You've done a great job, the photos look fabulous. I love the photo of the mirrored image, its so precious :) Great idea to use metal safety pins! Looks like you have covered all the criteria. Well done!! - Shazza

Have a look at this great entry from........

Melissa O'Neill - Baby I Luv your WAY

Hi Shazza,

this is my entry for Screen to Scrap this month, I used my own little detective as the subject, the metal embellishment came off a garment label that a friend purchased, another great challenge, thanks Melxx

Hey Mel!! This entry is gorgeous, love how you journaled all around the page....great idea! The title is great and love the photos of you little detective. All criteria covered :) You must be pleased with this page, its come up a treat! Well done!! - Shazza
