Our Sponsor this month.....

Handmade by Suzanne

Here is some information about Suzanne and how she started in the scrapbooking industry....

I started scrapbooking shortly after the birth of my first son in 2006 and joined my local scrapbooking club, Northside Scrappers. After some encouragement from those nearest and dearest to sell the cards I was making, Handmade By Suzanne was launched selling to friends, family and local children’s markets.

In November 2009 I took on the role of coordinating my scrapbooking club and part of our club is a ‘shop’ selling all the goodies you might run out of on the day.  A moment of insanity and Handmade By Suzanne turned into an online retailer and is now enjoying it’s 1st year in operation and I absolutely love ‘going’ to work each day.  I have 2 young boys and have always wondered what kind of home based business I could have which allowed me to be a SAHM but also filled the working need in me.  I began scrapbooking and cardmaking just 4 short years ago and would never have believed where it might take me!

Handmade By Suzanne stocks all your favourite scrapbooking and crafting brands at reasonable prices.  New stock is arriving weekly and we recognise that customers want the latest and greatest which is where a lot of our time is spent researching to keep up with it all.

We offer customer service beyond your expectations with a policy of “customers for life”.
Orders are shipped within 24 hours of payment received and in most cases same day.  We also recognise being Perth based may be a disadvantage but it means we can keep our prices low and we work extra hard to ensure we are your store of preference.

Free postage on orders over $50 (Australian Addresses Only) and a flat rate of $5.00 postage on all other orders.  Small orders are welcome, we will only charge what it costs us to send .  E-mail for a quote otherwise we will offer to refund where the postage will be less.
All orders are sent with tracking at no extra cost so you have peace of mind.

We have a fabulously creative Design Team so visit our Gallery for some inspiration.  We offer monthly sketch competitions drawn at random, so don’t be shy anyone can win.

Please add this Badge to your blogs  to help promote 'Handmade by Suzanne' and link it back to  here

More inspiration from....

Michelle Beeby - Laugh

Thanks heaps for a great challenge this month Melissa - really struggled with what to do with this one, but I am pleased with the end result and I think I have everything required:

1. Red Bow - Check it's on my title as an accent.
2. A Journaling Note - Check!
3. Add Names To Photo - Check again!

Journaling reads: "Nothing makes me happier than seeing my kids really happy - not posed with fake smiles, but actually really laughing from within!"

Now I have finished it I can say I really enjoyed being pushed again, thanks again Melissa for the suggestion this month and thanks always to Shazza for making this all possible, really cannot wait to see all the awesome entries this month!

Gorgeous inspiration from DT member......

Natalie Elphinstone - God's Gift To Me

Dear Shazza,

Here's my submission for the Love Actually poster. I was inspired by the idea of wrapping up my loved one (in this case my two girls) like they were a gift. In fact, these girls are a gift to me from God. A true blessing! It was easy to include all the extra criteria, and I loved the clean and graphic design of the poster which inspired my own.

Natalie

Here's an example page from .......

Jennifer Manis - 3 generations

Hi Shazza!
I loved this month's poster!  I had a lot of fun with the different elements of the poster.  I placed two huge ribbons on my page with a bow in the center, kind of wrapping up my page like a present.  I also added our names on the pictures, via my handy Photoshop.  My page is titled "3 Generations", in honor of my mom and grandma, just in time for Mother's Day.  :)

Thanks,
Jen

Now! Look at this great submission from......

Chantal Vandenberg - Pricele$$

Hi Shazza!
Please find attached my DT submission for the movie poster "Love Actually".  I have been influenced by the striking graphic design of the poster, the colour scheme and including lots of photos.
I've included all the criteria;
1. Red bow
2. Journalling note (see the teeny tiny one there hanging off the red bow? :)
3. Add names to the people's pics that you love (this is a great idea too!)
Thanks again for a super-inspiring challenge!
Cheers,
Chantal

Look at this great submission from.....

Dale Tiernan - Xmas 2010

Hi Shazza,

I've attached my submission for Love Actually. I've chosen to do a double this time. It's about our family tradition of giving Kris Kringle gifts. I've done a ladies page and a men's page. I've got a red bow, 2 journal spots and I've named each lovely member of my family.

Kind regards,

Dale

Next up with some great inspiration from....

Jane Howden - Twirl

Hi Shazza,

I was really drawn to the use of the smaller rectangular pictures in the Love Actually poster and the clean look of red and white.  I’ve taken these components and used them in my own layout Twist.  There is a journaling card, red bow and I’ve labelled each picture.  I have to say this is one of my all time best loved movies – then again how could it not be wonderful with Hugh Grant (sigh), Colin Firth (sigh), Liam Neeson (sigh) and the wonderfully funny Bill Nighy.  If you have not seen this I urge you to rush out and grab a copy now!!

Cheers,
Jane

More inspiration from DT member......

Melissa Pablo - Family Fun

hello miss shazza,
attached is my LO for this month's challenge. i think i've covered all the extra bonus points- i have my red bow, journaling note, and i've added the names of my two son and my mom in the photo. it was fun to see one of my fave movie as the inspiration. i can't wait to see what everyone has created. Have a great day!

hugs,
isay :D

Next, with some 'Love Actually' inspiration is.....

Sandi Robinson - First Grandson

Attached is my LO for Mays challenge 'Love Actually'...I loved the simplicity of this, so it's another 'literal' translation from me!!  I used photo's taken on the day my elder son was born, with both sets of Grandparents being introduced to their first Grandson! That little babe in the photo's is now almost 15 years old & sadly Grandad Murray is no longer with us, so it was just the push I needed to get this wonderful moment documented at long last!!

It wasn't hard to incorporate the three 'extra criteria' as I'd virtually 'lifted' the poster intact!! But just to be sure...Red bow...check!  Journaling note...Check (used as title block, actual journalling runs along each side of the LO, inspired by the credits at the foot of the poster!)! & Add names to the people in the pics, that you love!...Check!!

 Hope you're keeping well!

Sandi

Some more inspiration today from......

Deb Clark - Love my Kitties

Hi dear Shazza,

Well 'Love Actually' was a great inspiration...& I used my kitties as
the subjects, because they are actually so loved!
My boy kitty is Bob, & he is 12 & my girl kitty is Scuzzi
(she has 3 legs)&  she is 13, & my lovely late great kitty,
who I miss so much is Sophie - she was 20 when she died. I love the
colours of the poster & used them as such a great highlight..plus
made a couple of bows, & added a couple of journalling notes.

I am sure there will be lots of entries for this happy month!

Cheers, Debi

The next submission is from ......

Karen Williams - Love

Hi Shazza

I have all the criteria - a red bow,
a tag and labelled pictures

I used pictures of my three children
and my husband ( but not me)

Hope its OK

Karen

Here is some inspiration from.....

Mary Steinmetz -Starring the Steinmetz Clan

Hi Shazza,

Here is my submission for May.
Starring the Steinmetz Clan, this my little
family, which the most precious
people in my life. I made simple but yet,
kind a fun. I hope you like.

I have my red bow.... check
