Julene Matthews - 1234
Dear Shazza, Here's an entry for challenge 3. The polkadots certainly were obvious on this..I called it 1234 because Annabelle needed to count so she knew when to play her instrument.Love the look of concentration on her face!
The photo is straight on the page, the angle I took it is slightly skewed.
Happy birthday FS2S, - Julene

Hi Shazza,
Here is my layout inspired by Challenge No. 3's poster "13 Going on 30". I think this poster is so cute! I was inspired by the white background, the bubblegum bubble and dots, plus the general "cuteness" factor of it!
I've all the criteria here; Polka dots - 3 of the main pp's, some alphas and the fabric button have polka dots; My title has the number 8 in it; and I've made it very girly with pink, bling, froth and bubbles! :D
Thanks so much for such a fun challenge!
Cheers,
Chantal Vandenberg

Hi Shazza!
What a cute movie poster to inspire us this month! It just so happens I needed to scrap my husband's 30th birthday and I thought the movie title is almost perfect for him! I used polka dotted patterned paper for the photo corners and I punched out our picture with a circle punch to mimic her bubble.
Happy Birthday FSTS!
XOXO

Lena Schreijenberg - Princess
Hi Shazza,
Hereby I send you my take on the challenge nr. 3/13 going 30.
I started with glueing pictures of all kind of girly things (flowers, perfume bottle, romantic bed, pictureframes, diamond rings a.s.o.) to the background.
Then I drew the face and started with the paint.... little paint on the face so you still can see the magazine images and lots of paint around the face, covering all the rest of the pictures.
The face is outlined with pastel crayon and the alpha's and numbers are sprayed with Glimmermist.
So I think that I've used all three criteria... Hope you will like it...??
XOXO,
Lena Schreijenberg

Sandi Robinson - In the Pink at 50
For '13 going on 30'...well this was a real challenge for me!! I was fine with polka dots (big fave!)...I could even do the number title with no problem...but 'Make it Girly'...pink, frills, bling?!!! I have never been a girly-girl & am just not a pink person!! So, I rummaged through my stash to find 'pink' & lo & behold I had pink polka dot PP...result!! After that came pearls, pink gems, pink ribbon bows & several pink blooms....some pink foam alpha's I didn't even know I had!...I even printed off my photo in a pink tone! Is that girly enough for you!!! LOL!!! Thanks for getting me thinking 'outside of the box' girls...it was great fun!!

This was a great little film. I like the 80's so it suited me, a bit of nostalgia. I'm going to give this one a go.
ReplyDeleteLoved this film...LOVE polka dots...love numbers...LOVE all your example projects...I might just stumble at the girly bit though...still, I'll grit my teeth & I'm sure I can dig out some 'pink & frothy' from somewhere!!! LOL!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh this looks great! I love the examples and a great challenge - haven't seen the movie, but it sounds along the same lines as "Big" starring Tom Hanks. LOVE that movie! :D
ReplyDelete3 gorgeous examples of fun here gals, & top little pressies too!
ReplyDeletefantastic movie choice, one of my favorite movies. Love your examples, there all so girly.
ReplyDeleteThis is right right my alley, love the your Critiera.
Wow - what amazing LO's & cards...I am in awe gals!
ReplyDeleteSee...none of you have any issues with 'Making it Girly' do you!!! So many lovely projects here...I might just be converted to 'a bit of pink & frilly' after all these years!! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteSandi, I have a lot of pink in my stash because I never have a chance to use it. Mum gave me a heap of pink papers. I gave quite a lot of them to a daughter of my friend to use in her scrapbooks. She does like pink. I'm with you, more of a blue girl. I like the pink photo. Groovy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dale!! I must have spent too long on that LO because today, while out shopping I bought a pink sweatshirt!!! Salmon pink...but pink all the same!! Unheard of for me it's usual black & white & blue all the way!!!! :)
