everything.

silly  It's a what.....
It was a fun challenge, I didn't have a spirograph,

We have another entry from....

Robin Jenkins - Lady Liberty

Hi Shazza,
Once again I decided to join you at From Screen to Scrap!  I love James Stewart, and I think I've seen just about all his movies at one point or another.  I went through pictures I took last October when we visited NYC (my hometown), because I remembered some pictures I took of the Statue of Liberty when we took Temple on a 3-hr boat cruise which went past Lady Liberty--I remembered some were in silhouette because of the time of the day and the angle of the sun.  The pic was perfect for this challenge.  I've met the criteria: orange background, silhouette, sprialgraph flowers at top of LO.  Thanks for another great challenge!
Hugs, RobinJ

Great work Robin! Excellent photo you have used..........she sure is a grand lady! I love the design of your page and your added embellies. Great spirograph flowers too! Cheers Shazza

Lena Schreijenberg - Serious

Sending you also my take on the challenge of March. I would like to know if you agree with this work, I didn't use any pictures and I don't have the old Spirograph so I drew my own swirl

Come and Meet our Movie Extra for the Month....

Lena Schreijenberg

I’m Lena Schreijenberg, born on the 17th of april 1961. Since my divorce I live with my two children, Carmen (born 1996) and Liam (born 1998), in Biggekerke, a small village in the South-West of the Netherlands. The two cats, Harley and Emmy, make our family complete.
I work for three days a week at the courthouse in Middelburg. That’s an office job but in my spare time I just love to create!! That “creating” is something I was born with I guess. As long as I can remember I am always busy to create things. As a little kid I made drawings, knitted and sewed dolls clothes, made cushins for my room…. Now I’m a qualified seamstress and I have made many clothes for myself and my kids. A few years ago I started painting and my best friend Marit introduced scrapping/art journaling to me. I took part in all three of her workshops in art journaling and I loved it!! In one lesson of these workshops we had to make a collage. And I completely fell in love with that technique!! It is soooo much fun going through magazines looking for the right pair of eyes.... the perfect face, mouth and hair!!
Please feel free to visit my blog www.sixliliesstudio.com
I hope you will enjoy browsing through my gallerys and I wish you all “happy creative” times!!!!

Hi Lena  and Welcome! We are so pleased to have you join us. We hope you enjoy your Movie Extra role role and look forward to your comments on the entries this month. Please make Lena welcome !! :)

Here is some examples of Lena art work, she really is a very talented lady...i would lave to take classes and learn how she puts these pages together - shazza

Here's my submission......

Shazza - I skate

Journaling says.....I started ice skating with three girlfriends when I was about sixteen. We used to go every Thursday night to 'Iceland' in Ringwood for about two years. I just loved ice skating, it feels like I'm flying like a bird, gliding across glass..... and I love going fast! It really is a great sport. I remember the first time I took my three kids skating...they were just amazed that I could actually skate around, ducking in and out of other skaters...they thought I would be going around hanging on to the edge of the rink !!!... I even Amazed myself !! :)

Marisa Page

Hi Ladies!

Just letting you all know that I forgot to mention last month that it was Marisa Page's last month at FS2S.

We wish you well Marisa and hope to see you back here every so often :)
All the best!!

Hey Shazza, wonderful inspiration this month, had fun going all "arty" in my layout! I plan to now do one of these for each of my kids, loved it so much.. thanks heaps and looking forward to seeing all the subs this month! xx Chelle xx

Heres another great submission from.....

Natalie Elphinstone -Moment

Dear Shazza,

What a great poster to work from this month! So many ways I could have done this page! I started with my orange background and added lots of yellow hand-stitching. Not technically a spirograph, more like sunrays, but it might just pass?! *LOL* And I cut out a black silhouette of a girls head and attached it to a vintage button, making it into my own cameo brooch. Looking forward to all the other DT girls' pages, and lots of entries this month!!

xxxx
Natalie

Another DT members sample page.....

Jennifer Manis -Reflection

Hi Shazza!  I found this poster interesting to work with; many different ways to play with it. :) I used a silhouette picture my dad took of our bird, Athena a while back. I just love this picture of her playing with one of her toys, and I finally had a chance to use it on a layout! Thanks :)
Jen

I love this inspirational sub from....

Chantal Vandenberg - Clowns

Hi Shazza!
Please find attached my layout inspired by my ALL TIME FAVOURITE movie masterpiece, VERTIGO! :D
I've the following criteria there...
Orange background and a swirl (underneath the title).  I didn't manage the black silohoette figure in this instance but I did a shadow for my hand drawn teddy bear instead.  LOVED using this poster for inspiration - it's so versatile!
Thanks!

Chantal.

Our next DT submission is from.......

Dale Tiernan -Ride

Hi Shazza,

Here is my layout. I've used some photos of The Hulk rollercoaster in an Orlando theme park to represent the movie poster. I suffer from vertigo so couldn't even consider going on this coast unless I wanted to feel ill. My husband had a great time on it, son number 1 wouldn't go on and son number 2 (10 years) was very unhappy with me for not letting him on it. I was too scared to let him. It was so high.

I've used orange, a black silhouette of a lady falling and I've used orange cotton to spirograph around the scallop die-cut. I used to love my spirograph kit as a kid.

I loved the challenge and found it very easy to find this idea for it.

Kind regards,
Dale

Lets see who is next.........

Jane Howden - Glow

Hi Shazza,

Here’s my submission for March.  I’ve used orange cardstock as my base with a silhouette of my daughter as the feature photo.  I made my own spirograph using brads and string.  This was a fun challenge, can’t wait to see what everyone else makes of it.

Thanks,
Jane

Another great submission from DT member....

Melissa Pablo - The Pumpkin Patch

hello miss shazza,
good day to you! i enjoyed this months inspiration and even though i did not have a spirograph on hand i searched online and found a couple of great spirograph images so i printed them out on a kraft paper, cut them out and used them as flowers. i love how it turned out. i think i covered the rest of the criteria also- orange background and a black silhoutte figure.i hope you like it. thanks again for the inspiration.

hugs,
Melissa :D

Next, we have a great sample page from...

Sandi Robinson -Bounce

Hi Shazza

Here is my interpretation of the 'Vertigo' poster! When I thought about the orange background, my mind went to Tigger!!! This photo is far from perfect & I have my eyes closed, but my sister took it at the moment Tigger crept up behind me & gave me a hug on Main street, Disneyland, Paris! A lovely memory & I'm pleased to have documented it after all these years!! For the swirl, I stitched a spiral from the photo outwards & embellished it with buttons & I included a 'man' sillhouette in the cluster of embellies too! So all three 'extra criteria' ticked off! This was another fun one to do!!

Blessings!

Sandi  Open-mouth smile

Look at this fantastic submission from........

Debi Clark - Here

Hi dear Shazza,

Please find my LO titled 'Here' following inspiration from
the Alfred Hitchcock classic 'Vertigo'...oh I love his
movies!I have used a photo of myself taken at Burnie in
Tasmania with some little penguin feet painted on the
pathway..so there is the silhouette, & I have used
orange CS & also some swirls, & whirls, &
buttons & bobs.

It will be wonderful to see all the great entries for
this month. Looking forward to that!
Cheers, Debi

Here is our first submission for the month from.....

Karen Williams - Me on the Beach

Hi Shazza

Instead of a swirl I have the white doily shapes and I hope
my shadow in the photo will suffice for the silhouette.
I did manage an orange background.

It took three sheets of Orange card before I got to this...

strike one- glimmer mist- too light not enough sparkle or
colour so I tried spray paint that I used on the bin- that
sunk straight into the paper and didn't show up - so strike two

finally had to use acrylic paint over the doily but even
then it wasn't great the paint made the doily soggy and it
broke up (not sure if it all peeled off properly)
