Hey! Have a look at this entry from...

Deb Clark - My Own Little Wonderland

Morning Shazza,
Thank you for yet another great inspiration in 'Alice in
Wonderland'! I enjoyed scrapping a B & W photo of myself,
when I was a little flower girl for my brother's wedding
....oh so many years ago!! I have played with a clock mask,
as well as a cuttlebugged clock face, wine bottle tucked
away near some flowers & white felt rabbit with a
pink tail I made!! Plus added cuttlebugged butterflies,
& lots of flowers.
Cheers, Deb
Hi Deb, this has turned out beautiful. You make a lovely 'Alice',
in your bridesmaid dress :)
I just love those etched butterflies
and that large organza pink bloom is just beautiful. I love the
idea of using the movie sheet with the song 'Rabbit', clever
idea :) Making a handmade rabbit was a great idea too. Great
take on the challenge, well done! - Shazza

Ok Here is something Alice inspired by......

Vicki Canning - Alice inspired box

~Ok so this week I have been working on some more pieces for my Alice in Wonderland box.... I'm really enjoying working on this slowly and doing a little bit at a time!!!!!

~So this first piece is called WHITE RABBIT, who of course had to feature on the box!!!!! Lots of gold rub on this, and some tiny playing cards: Taken from Vickis blog http://vickisartisticlicense.blogspot.com/2010/06/creative-friday-miss-alice.html

Hi Vicki, I love your rabbit and fob watch, glad you could showcase your 'Alice' inspired works on FS2S :) Cheers Shazza

Another 'Alice' inspired layout, from........

Cynthia Seguin - Vada in Wonderland

Hi Shazza,

I was so jazzed after last month that I couldn't wait to
attack this one!!!

I loved the idea of taking new perspective on a
traditional event. This photo is from my daughter's
baptism. Instead of talking about the solemnity of the
Church service etc.... The theme inspired me to focus
on the WONDER that my daughter experienced as she met
all the crazy characters in our family, many for the
first time, at this event.

Here are my added criteria for extra 6 bonus points

1) A white rabbit = His ears are poking out of the
top of the photo - he is holding the journalling
behind the photo.
2) A clock or a fob watch = In the cluster at the
bottom right.
3) Drink 'me' bottle = Also in the cluster in the
bottom right.

Warm regards,
Cynthia Seguin
Hi Cynthia, Really love your take on the challenge this month.
Great idea using that photo and look at the look of
amazement/wonder on your daughters face, she is such cutie :)
Your rabbit ears poking up from the photo add a special touch,
love that idea too! Glad you got all the added criteria :)
Great page! - Shazza

Here is another great 'Alice' themed entry from....

Chantal Vandenberg - Books... are a Wonderland

Hi Shazza,
Here's my layout inspired by the stunning Alice in Wonderland movie poster. It's Alice in Wonderland themed, with actual book pages and drawings from Alice in Wonderland, it's titled "Books... are a Wonderland", I was inspired by the blues, pinks, and greens in the poster as well as the grass and forest "feel". I have also covered the bonus point criteria... 1) A white rabbit (bottom right), 2) A fob watch (in rabbit's hand), 3) Drink "me" bottle (behind rabbit in corner). Thanks for another exciting and inspiring challenge! :D
Cheers!
Chantal.

Love this Chantal, you always come up with a gorgeous colorful page....can see you added all the criteria. Your white rabbit is so cute! Love the photos you used, Is that your daughter? Really like your title! Well done - Shazza

Here's our Fourth entry from.....

Sarah Elliott - Stepping through the Looking Glass and Falling down the Rabbit Hole...

I'm so in lurrve with this movie.
Any chance to use it as inspo makes Sarah a very happy gurl!
:O)
I started this layout by using an old Free-Cycled frame for the 'mirror'. I cut the 'glass' from some plastic packaging (My Mother's Day bubble baths), I wanted it a little scuffed and scratched so it looked like older glass. I then glued the photo at the back of the frame with a gap, to get the 'looking through the other side of a mirror' feel.
I marked where the frame was going on the page then started building the 'Rabbit Hole' from there. The Rabbit Hole was created using ripped then inked brown cardstock... I built it up in a spiral coming out from the 'mirror', finishing with green inked Mulberry Paper 'grass'.
The roots are vines off a grapevine wreath.
The flowers are all cardstock stickers ($1 store!) I wanted to get the bright, big flower, chaotic garden feeling from the movie.
Then I started to work on the sh-tuff in the tunnel.
Hats for my many roles, books, housework (ugh!), Kids, my wedding and friends, gardening, my hobbies, my SteamPunk obsession and a few other odds & ends that represent my life.
I have a couple of watches, the white bunny, the bottle, the door and the gold key...
MUCH Alice-ness.
Journaling:
In choosing to Step Through the Looking Glass...
and Falling Down the Rabbit Hole...
I've found my MUCHNESS.
http://keepsakescrafts.blogspot.com/2010/06/falling-down-rabbit-hole.html
I just loooooooved doing this one!
~Sarah~

Sarah this is incredible, the work that has gone into this is amazing! I love the ladies legs, the tricycle, books, flying clock etc etc....... I can just imagine it all swirling around as your falling down the rabbit hole! I love your white rabbit too! This is so impressive, I love it when my DT's have a go at the challenges......I'm so glad you've found your MUCHNESS! - Cheers Shazza

WOW! Another fantastic entry, this time from a newbie :)

Hiya There, heres my entry for the Screen2Scrap Alice in Wonderland challenge!

Thanks for Looking...Regards, Annmaree.

Hi Annemaree, Well havn't you used the cutest smartest little white rabbit in his jacket and bow tie, how fantastic does he look :) I love the swirly pp you used it reminds me of Alice falling down the rabbit hole and swirling around!!! Great idea to use that pic of your mum and aunty as well! Thanks for joining us this month, Good Luck! - Cheers Shazza

Talia Lynette - In a Wonderland

I really liked doing it (:

- Talia Lynette xx

Dale Tiernan - Enchanted Journey

Hi Shazza, Finally got to send you my layout entitled Enchanted Journey. I loved this month's poster. The photo is of me in my Nan's backyard. I have the same pose as Alice and am also wearing a blue dress. I've used a page from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, a Queen of Hearts note and Q with a crown. Also I have a clock, white rabbit and bottle. I've used Webster's Pages Garden Gala - Tea Time to represent the Mad Hatter's Tea Party in the background and some flowers. Regards, Dale

Hi Dale! What a great entry to start the challenge off! The photo just suits perfectly. I love that you even added a teacup (Mad Hatters Tea Party lol) and managed all the criteria as well. Well done!! - Shazza

June's Movie Extra is ..........

Tanya Soutar

Please welcome Tanya as our Guest DT/Movie Extra for the month.

BIO: Scrapbooking since 2000, inspired by colour, patterned papers, altered photos etc, my scrapbook idol is Heidi Swapp, have met her on several ocassions and she is beautiful inside and out, I enjoy getting together for stamp club and bouncing ideas, I go on at least 4 retreats a year with some very special scrapping friends, I love distressing, inking, glimmermisting, smooching (that is the brand smooch) and stamping. My fav tools are stampin up! punches, they rock, I absolutely must have millions of pieces of different chipboard, I love all the things that you can do to it. I frequently scourer the net looking for new ideas, My most favourite mag at the moment is Scrapbook Trends. I do layouts in no particular order, I am very random and haphazard, it's how I enjoy life too. My subjects are usually my children, my scrap friends and hubby and I. This craft has become my obsession and I shop for products more than I use them sometimes. I will still be scrapping when I am in my retirement home :)

I'm not surprised you will be scrapping in your retirement home. I have known Tanya for a few years now and she is also my STampin' UP! upline. Have been away scrapping with her!! One word of warning ....never share a table with her as she takes over every inch and you get pushed back to work in a 12x12 section lol. She has more scrappin bits and pieces than my LSS (true!!)
Although her style is random she produces great pieces of work, here are a few of her Layouts below........

Hi Shazza!
My layout is titled 'A Child's Wonderland'. This is me way back when! I was always curious and creating my own little make-believe worlds. I love these pics and thought the Alice theme went with them well.
Thanks for a great challenge!

come meet our newest DT member........

Jennifer Manis

Jennifer Manis was our Guest DT in March and she did a great job of commenting on entries and involving herself on the site, so I asked her to join us as a Full time DT member. I'm so happy she accepted, so please make her feel welcome :)

Here is some info about Jennifer from her guest DT role in March.....

My name is Jennifer Manis, and I have been scrapbooking for over four years now. I discovered this wonderful hobby while I was organizing old family photos, and I haven't looked back! These days, I love recording the things that are going on in my life today. I have four beautiful pet birds at home who always provide inspiration for my pages. I enjoy looking through magazines, books and others' blogs for creative ideas. I like to scrap for the fun of it, and I love the feeling of artistry it brings! I was a guest DT member for Candy Shoppe Designs in September 2009. I am thrilled to be here at From Screen 2 Scrap because the challenges always make you think outside the box & inspire you to try something different! Feel free to visit my blog at http://jennifermanis.blogspot.com.

Shazza's submission for June

Shazza Bishop - Jenna's Wonderland

I wanted to make a layout that had a lot going on, so I used lots of little embellies and scattered them around the garden and also lots of things out of proportion to add a bit of mystery to the layout. Firstly thanks to Amanda who sent me the beautiful pp a few months ago, it was perfect for this layout. I hand made the felty mushroom in the bottom L/H corner and popped the cheshire cat on top of it. The drink me bottle is hanging from the 'R' on the word 'Wonder', I filled it with purple glitter. The Mad Hatter is holding a giant fob watch, the white rabbit is blowing a trumpet... i have also added a yellow teapot, some tickets and mushrooms. Lastly the pic is my daughter when she was about eight in one of her calisthenics costumes. I enjoyed this challenge this month.

Another stunning DT submission.....

Natalie Elphinstone - Down the Rabbit Hole

Dear Shazza,
I loved the Alice in Wonderland movie poster. It inspired me to do a layout that was very colourful and fun, and I've kept the tree, flowers and mushrooms in my layout just like the poster. I used this Easter photo of my daughter with her rabbit ears on - she barely took them off the whole day! I've included 2 white rabbits (3 if you count my daughter!!) and a clock from the added criteria. You may have to hunt for them, there's a lot on this page :-)
Cheers, xx Natalie

Absolutely stunning Natalie! The colors and cartooney mushrooms and flowers just make this layout! The photo of you daughter is beautiful, she must have just loved those rabbit ears. Your scrapping is so diverse, I just love your work Natalie :) - Shazza xxx

A fantastic submission this month from....

Anne Patterson - Fairy Fun

Anne! this is just stunning, great photos you have used and you have covered all the criteria!
Your work is always so neat and precise. Love all your added embellies. I'm sure you made those flowers, they are just so fitting and gorgeous...what more can I say...... I love it!! - shazza

WOW! Another fantastic submission to share :)

Michelle Beeby - Ally in Wonderland

Hey Shazza, this challenge couldn't of come at a better time, my daughter had just gone to her best friends 18th "Very Merry Unbirthday" Party, what are the odds? Loved this challenge so much, had to do it twice (well did a double layout anyway). Thanks heaps again! ((HUGS)) Chelle

Hey Chelle! What great photos to scrap, can see some unusual characters from 'Alice in Wonderland' amongst that lot!! lol what a great idea for a party!! Great double doosie page, I just love it!! - {H}ugs back to you - Shazza

Next submission is from......

Marisa Page - 2 Girls and their Pet Rabbit

Hi Shazza,
Well I had lots of fun creating this layout.
The poster 'Alice in Wonderland' was fantastic to work with.
I did a lot of hybrid scrapping on this layout.
I love the trees in the poster so decided to have one too.
I have included a white rabbit, fog watch & a drink me bottle.
Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.
Regards, Marisa Page

Love that tree you used Marisa! Your garden looks beautiful with all your embellies hidden amongst the flowers and leaves. Glad you enjoyed this months challange! Fantastic work!
- Shazza

Our first submission this month comes from.....

Julene Matthews - Queen of Hearts

Hi Shazza!
The clock is there on a tag. I searched high and low to find this photo as it was the only thing I have that is Alice inspired. The paper is from Wishmade Co.,the tag(clock) is from Nostalgiques, the mushrooms are by DCWV greenstack chipboard, the picture of Alice I downloaded on to parchment then used a red heart stamp in the corner, the title is thickers. It is a picture of my sister aged 6 going to a fancy dress ball. My mother made this dress from crepe paper and cellophane. It was kept until a few years ago when it finally tore and was thrown out.

Hey Julene, this is a perfect photo for the challenge, I can't believe your mother made the dress for your sister it out of crepe paper what a great job she did , the dress is just adorable and what a great job you have done on your submission. I love your Mushrooms and the Queen of heart's card was the perfect touch. Beautiful pp to go with all the embellies. Excellent! - Shazza
